Review from MobileGazette:
The words "Dual SIM" on the front of the LG GX500 give away one of this phone's selling phones.. this is a dual-SIM touchscreen phone heading for Eastern European markets from May onwards.
As with most dual-SIM phones, the LG GX500 is a GSM-only device, with no 3G data connectivity. Despite the limitations in the GX500, it is reasonably well-equipped for a dual-SIM handset with support for WiFi, a 3" 240 x 400 pixel display, 3 megapixel camera with QVGA video recording, an FM radio, multimedia player and a large 1500 mAh battery which is quoted as giving up to 6 hours talktime and 16 days standby time.
LG say that switching between SIM "personalities" is easy, and they have also added a bunch of applications including social networking support, plus reference materials such as mapping to the handset as well.
Web browsing uses Opera Mini, and the GX500 includes an email client too. In fact, as far as features go, we think that the LG GX500 will offer most things that most consumers want, with the useful addition of being able to take two SIM cards at the same time.
As far as we can tell, the LG GX500 should be available next month in Russia and the Ukraine, probably with other Eastern European countries following plus a handful of specialist retailers elsewhere.
