Samsung told the industry at IFA last month that the Galaxy S III update to Jelly Bean would be coming “soon” but offered no more details. In today’s world, where a blink of an eye can see some executive change their mind or another Apple patent lawsuit (read “whine”), the word “soon” is usually synonymous with “whenever we darn well please, thank you very much.”
With that said, CNET UK is reporting that Samsung has confirmed that they will be releasing the Galaxy S III GT-i9300 Jelly Bean update in October, which is just a few weeks away. The exact quote is “the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system will be available on the Galaxy S3 from October.”
Of course there was no specific date in October given, but if you’re a betting person, you have a 1 in 31 chance of picking the correct date, so hop to it!

Changing the OS to Jelly Bean may take Samsung Galaxy to another level of competition. And of course people that mostly benefit in the market is Samsung Galaxy S3 users. They can enjoy the phone operation with iPhone like feature and even faster processing speed. Why not wait and see when the OS is to be upgraded??
