Apple iPhone 5S to have a higher capacity battery than the current model
With the introduction of the Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C less than a month away, it looks like we will make it to Apple's event without one single prototype found on the floor of a bar. Despite that, we have had plenty of leaks and speculation about the next iteration of Apple's smartphone and its low-cost variant.
The latest information about the the next full-priced iPhone, the Apple iPhone 5S, comes from an internal source who says that the new model will have the same aluminum construction and dimensions as the current Apple iPhone 5 (7.6mm x 123.8mm x 58.6mm) which means that the screen will probably remain at 4 inches on the new model. The new version of the phone is slightly heavier because of the higher capacity battery that is said to be powering the handset.
This source also indicates that the Apple iPhone 5S will be available in the U.S. late next month. Earlier Monday, we heard from another source that the next iPhone will feature an 8MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 which should allow the phone to take good pictures under low-light conditions. The model will be powered by a faster A7 processor and be available in white, dark gray and champagne gold. And yes, the new Apple iPhone 5S is expected to have a fingerprint scanner embedded in its sapphire home button.
